Booking a haunted room: FAQs

Usually you can request one when you book, or by contacting the hotel afterwards, but it is rarely guaranteed. Booking directly with the hotel, or calling after an online booking, gives you the best chance.

When should I book a haunted room?

As early as you can, especially for October and Halloween, and at small inns with only a handful of rooms. A rate with free cancellation lets you secure a room now and change plans later.

There is no guarantee. These rooms are the ones most often named in guest accounts and ghost stories; our evidence tiers explain how much supporting information there is for each hotel.
